For most Candida victims, Bayberry Formula is an extremely useful and well tolerated part of an anti candida treatment. However, it has emerged that for a small minority, its mild anticandidal activity Is sufficient to provoke a die-off reaction. The herbs responsible for this are ginger and chaparral, so Bayberry Formula-A is a herbal nutrition product in which these have been replaced by galangal and red clover, which do not test as being anticandidal yet offer good activity against Candida toxins. Bayberry Formula-A is therefore completely devoid of anticandidal activity.

Bayberry Formula-A may be used as the anti-candida-toxins remedy of first choice, but in view of the remarkable success achieved to date with Bayberry Formula it is probably better to offer it only to those who suffer from any condition that is potentially serious and possibly candida linked. Such conditions include multiple sclerosis, asthma. epilepsy, M.E.. cardiac arrhythmias, eczema (and other skin problems), and depression. Anticandidal therapy can produce a temporary worsening of any symptom caused by Candida (the so-called "Herxheimer" or die-off reaction), which for most sufferers merely involves feeling somewhat more tired than usual, with perhaps increased bloating and is usually quite acceptable. However, an exacerbation of any of the above-mentioned conditions is not acceptable, and this is where Bayberry Formula-A is likely to prove of most value. In these patients it should be given at a dosage of three capsules twice daily for two months, and then anticandidal therapy can be started (progressively). Bayberry Formula-A should be maintained for a further two to three months at a dosage of four capsules daily.
