Most commonly associated with bone structure, calcium actually plays several other key roles within the body: it is required structurally in bones and teeth, used in both growth and repair; is an intracellular regulator, including keeping your muscles and heart functioning; keeps blood working correctly; maintains nerve function; is a cofactor for many proteins and enzymes, including blood clotting; preserves cell membrane permeability.
Calcium Citrate vs. Coral Calcium
Coral Calcium is more expensivem, but is also a good source of magnesium, and other trace minerals. It also has other vitamins and minerals added which are traditionally associated with bone joint integrity. Coral calcim is therefore a more rounded product, whereas Calcium Citrate is good for those who only want a calcium supplement.
Calcium is also found in our liquid mineral product - Mega Minerals Plus.
