Green Barley has been a staple food of human populations since
at least 7,000 B.C. and in Japan the young grass is one of several traditional
green foods that are considered to be energising and anti-ageing. It is a good
natural alkaliser, and may also aid digestion and detoxification.
Green Barley contains over 70 nutrients, including vitamins,
minerals, amino acids and enzymes – in particular Super Oxide Dismutase
(S.O.D.) – a powerful free radical scavenger. In addition, Green Barley
grass provides high levels of Chlorophyll and important antioxidant substances
called flavonoids. Of particular interest to researchers is the flavonoid 2’’
-0- GIV – shown in research to be a more potent antioxidant than vitamin
E.
Many of the nutrients in Green Barley are destroyed by heat
or acidity, so in order to capture and protect the delicate nutrients and enzymes
in freshly harvested young barley grass, Green Magma is manufactured using a
unique extraction and spray-dry process.
Totally Organic
The Barley Grass used in Green Magma is grown in some of the
world's most fertile soil in Japan. It is grown without the use of pesticides
or chemical fertilizers and is fully certified as Organic.
Cautions
There are no known contraindications or interactions with Green
Magma - however those intolerant to barley or coeliacs should be cautious upon
first using any Green Barley supplement. Although Green Magma is made from the
young leaves of Green Barley Grass - not the head which contains gluten - we
would still recommend caution to coeliacs.
A note about using Green Magma as an aid to detoxification
Green Magma can be a useful aid to detoxification. However
- some individuals may experience some tiredness upon first using it - and individuals
who suspect they may have a high level of toxins in their body should start
with low doses and build up very gradually to minimise any symptoms of detoxification.
Usage: Mix 1 teaspoon of Green Magma powder
into a glass (approx. 160ml) of water or non-acidic fruit juice. Drink 20 minutes
before or 2 hours after a meal for best absorption. Do not mix with hot drinks
as heat can damage the active enzymes in Green Magma.
