Our main products for candida toxins are Bayberry Formula and Bayberry Formula A. However molybdenum is an invaluable as well as very cost effective additional measure.

Acetaldehyde is considered to be the primary toxin that candida releases into the body. The following is slightly technical, but bear with us.

Acetaldehyde is beleived to promote addiction to toxic substances as a result of generating opiate-like biochemicals called (salsolinol and beta-carboline). This may at least partly explain why alcoholics are so addicted to alcohol, cigarette smokers to cigarettes, and candida sufferers to sugar, since all three of these conditions involve chronic excessive body acetaldehyde levels. And, like opiates, it has been suggested that they might promote lethargy, mental cloudiness and fogginess, depression, apathy, inability to concentrate, etc. These are symptoms common to both alcoholism and candidiasis, the two conditions which may generate the highest chronic acetaldehyde levels in the body. It has been suggested that acetaldhyde may be involved with:

• Decreased ability to concentrate (brain fog)

• Slowed reflexes
• Lethargy and apathy
• Heightened irritability
• Decreased mental energy

  Molybdenum is a trace mineral which is required by the body in breaking down acetaldehyde. As acetaldehyde is the main candida toxin thought to be responsible for many candida symptoms, it may be helpful alongside Bayberry Formula or Bayberry Formula A in transforming it into a harmless substance (acetic acid) and eventually into eventual production of acetyl coenzyme A which is a beneficial substance, involved with energy production in every cell of the body. Please note, we still regard Bayberry Formula (or Bayberry Formula A) as our main product to help with candida die off because of its effects at supporting the liver in breaking down candida toxins, but molybdenum may provide useful and cost effective additional help.

  Other roles of molybdenum

• Deficiency of Molybdenum may cause impotence in older men.

• Molybdenum helps to manufacture haemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells.  

• Molybdenum is also said to relieve a broad range of aches and pains, including arthritis. This may be because joint pains are a common symptom of candida toxins, and molybdenum helps break these toxins down. Certainly we have received reports that Bayberry Formula and Bayberry Formula A have relieved joint pain, perhaps for the same reason.
