This OptiBac Probiotics immunity formula is an expert blend of probiotics and antioxidants for people who lead active, demanding lifestyles and for those with weaker immune responses. It is recommended for people who regularly catch colds and for the elderly who naturally have lower levels of friendly probiotic bacteria.
The varied types of probiotics in OptiBac Probiotics For Daily Immunity such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium breve BBBr-01, ensure that the intestinal lining throughout the gut is well colonised with a good coating of friendly bacteria. A strong intestinal lining prevents contaminants and harmful bacteria from entering into the bloodstream. A rich probiotic balance also supports immune cells in the intestinal walls to help limit the growth of pathogenic organisms.

How does For Daily Immunity work?
Antioxidants: Grape Seed Extract, Pine Bark Extract and Green Tea Extract in For Daily Immunity contain powerful, natural and hypoallergenic free radical scavengers and bioflavonoid complexes which are rapidly absorbed and distributed throughout the body. These antioxidants seek out the free radicals (chemicals produced from the breakdown of foods that can cause cell damage in the body) and neutralise them.
Grape Seed Extract is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants. It contains oligomeric procyanidins (or OPCs) known for their properties in performing regenerative functions such as maintaining the structural strength of blood vessels and assisting in the healthy development of capillary walls. OPCs have been studied to promote a variety of health benefits such as supporting normal blood pressure and healthy blood vessels and veins.
Probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus - one of the most well-known probiotic species naturally resident in the human gut. Our strain of acidophilus passes through numerous tests to ensure its survival through gastric acidity and bile salts expected at mealtimes; to reach the intestines and colonise in the gut where it supports immune cells and creates a healthy lactic acid environment that limits the growth and survival of harmful bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes.
Bifidobacteria strains: Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium breve and Bifidobacterium infantis settle primarily in the large intestine or colon where they play a key role in maintaining immunity. These probiotic hereby promote the production of antibodies and maintain resistance to infection from undesirable bacteria by competing for attachment space on the intestinal walls. Directions
For Daily Immunity Probiotic & Antioxidant can be given to adults and children (from 4 years upwards) with the following recommendations:-
- Take one capsule daily, preferably with breakfast, or as professionally directed.
- For young children or any patient unable to swallow capsules, the content of the capsule may be mixed with a cold meal or beverage.
Safety
It is not recommended to give probiotics to severely immunosuppressed patients, infants with short bowel syndrome (SBS), post cardiac surgery patients, patients with pancreatitis, patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or patients with blood in the stool unless under a doctor's care. Furthermore it is not advised to take antioxidants during pregnancy, unless professionally recommended.
