Barberry is a herbal extract made from the root of Mahonia aquifolium, commonly known as Oregon Grape. Barberry contains many alkaloids, including Berberine (also found in the famous herb Golden Seal), Berbamine, Canadine, and Hydrastine. The root also contains an active ingredient named 5' Methoxyhydnocarpin (5'MHC).
Usage
15 drops, 3 times daily in a small amount of water unless otherwise advised by your practitioner. Take on an empty stomach before meals. Maximum 60 drops per day.
For children aged 4-15, 3 times daily, give one drop per number of years of age. Shake before use. If you are taking medications, pregnant or lactating consult with a doctor or practitioner before use.
2-3 ml Oregon Grape water-alcohol extract which is the equivalent of 200-300mg dried Oregon Grape root.
