A combination of Burdock, Dandelion leaf and root, Turmeric, Galangal, Sarsaparilla, Artichoke, Red Clover, and Parsley leaf and root forms a potent herbal formula traditionally used to aid detoxification of the blood and lymphatic system. Each plant contributes unique properties, and together, they offer a broad-spectrum support for the body's natural elimination pathways. This synergistic approach is designed to enhance the elimination of metabolic waste, environmental toxins, and inflammatory byproducts, helping to rejuvenate the blood and lymphatic systems, as well as suport the liver and kidneys.

Detox Basics: Phase I vs. Phase II

  • Phase I Detox
The liver uses enzymes (mostly from the cytochrome P450 family) to break down toxins—this includes drugs, alcohol, pollutants, and byproducts of metabolism.
This process often turns toxins into intermediate forms that are more reactive (and sometimes more harmful) than the original toxins.

  • Phase II Detox
In this phase, the liver neutralizes and packages those reactive intermediates by adding molecules to them (a process called conjugation) so they become water-soluble and can be excreted through urine or bile.

Think of Phase I as unpacking toxic boxes, and Phase II as safely sealing and disposing of them.

Herbal Support for Detox Phases

Herb Phase I Phase II Notes
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) Curcumin boosts liver enzymes and supports glutathione production (important for Phase II).
Dandelion root Stimulates bile (important for excreting conjugated toxins) and supports overall liver function.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) Increases bile flow, supports fat digestion, and liver enzyme activity.
Burdock root Mild liver stimulator, supports both phases and also kidney elimination.
Red Clover Mild phytoestrogens and antioxidants help Phase II detox pathways (like methylation and glucuronidation).
Parsley Rich in antioxidants and supports glutathione pathways.
Galangal Supports digestion and Phase I enzymes; less evidence for Phase II.
Sarsaparilla Binds toxins and supports excretion through lymph and kidneys, more indirect support for Phase II.

✅ = actively supports
⚪ = less directly involved or indirect support
