Pure advantage's Bx3 Spray The Healthy Formula (formerly Homocysteine Control Spray) is a unique, orally administered, fast-acting formula of Vitamin B12 (in the superior methylcobalamin form), Vitamin B6, Folic Acid and Tri-Methyl Glycine (TMG) in a base of vegetable glycerin. It may support the cardiovascular system The blood, heart, and blood vessels form the cardiovascular system. The cardiovascular system delivers oxygen to every part of your body. Keywords: cardiovascular system, cardiovascular system health, cardiovascular system support by maintaining normal homocysteine levels. Homocysteine is a toxic amino acid formed in the body when other amino acids in your blood are broken down by normal body processes. High blood levels of homocysteine have been linked to a higher risk of heart and vessel disease, and are considered even more of a threat to heart health than high cholesterol.
According to the Physicians' Desk Reference for Nonprescription Drugs and Dietary Supplements, oral absorption (spraying into the mouth and swallowing) is much more effective than other forms of delivery. Sprays are known to be more effective in activating the salivary glands than capsules, pills, or lozenges. This allows the Bx3 SPRAY to enter the bloodstream quickly and efficiently. Other forms such as sublingual tablets, absorption rates are not equally effective.
Deficiencies of the vitamins folic acid (B9), pyridoxine (B6), or B12 can lead to high homocysteine levels. High blood levels of homocysteine have been linked to a higher risk of heart and vessel disease, and are considered even more of a threat to heart health than high cholesterol. In addition, high levels of homocysteine combined with excessive serum cholesterol can damage the cardiovascular system. Recent studies have shown that elevated homocysteine levels may be an independent risk factor for the development of heart disease, brain disease and stress. Homocysteine also damages cells that line the veins or arteries and stimulates the development of scar tissue in the damaged area. Elevated levels of homocysteine have also been linked to increased fractures in elderly persons.
Ingredients found in Pure Advantage’s Bx3 Spray are Trimethyl Glycine (TMG), vitamins B6, B12 (Methylcobalamin) and folic acid. These key nutrients may help convert homocysteine to other substances, thus preventing an unwanted buildup of homocysteine. Vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid must be obtained from food or supplementation because, like other vitamins, the body cannot make these essential substances from other nutrients.
These ingredients have been proven effective in extensive clinical studies. TMG is a highly effective donor of methyl groups and is a powerful reducer of homocysteine to biologically safe methionine. In the liver, methionine is converted to homocysteine. The homocysteine is converted back into methionine with the help of B12 and folic acid. The vitamin B6 converts homocysteine to a form that can be secreted in the urine. Deficiencies of these vitamins lead to a buildup of homocysteine that then damages the cells and tissues of the arteries
Unlike competitors that use the inexpensive and “common” cyanocobalamin form of B12, Pure Advantage uses the Methylcobalamin form of B12 in our Bx3 SPRAY which is readily available for cellular absorption. Pure Advantage’s Bx3 spray taste great with no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners added. For your health does not contain any dairy, egg, sugar, corn, yeast, wheat, soy, or glutens.
A. This is what the supplier said: "Nutritional Brands uses only only natural flavorus for all products. The manufacturer of this natural flavor will not disclose the exact formula of what goes inside the proprietary natural fruit punch flavour. Sorry for the lack of information inside this answer. However if you have a specific allergy we can can require the manufacturer to confirm that it is FREE from the allergy concern".
A: The suppliers use Folic Acid USP. The terms folic acid and folate are two forms of the same vitamin. No matter what you may read on some web sites, BOTH forms are synthetic when found in supplements. There is some debate about which one is the better form, which is unsettled, focussed on the claim that ridiculously high dosages of folic acid which nobody takes anyway, may be unsafe. But there again, everything about nutrition is about balance, and we do not recommend absurd dosages of anything. What we do know is that folate is much dearer, and would make the product more expensive if the suppliers were to replace the folic acid with folate.
