What is Calcium D-glucarate?
Calcium D-glucarate is a supplement that is made by combining calcium and d-glucaric acid. Glucaric acid is a naturally occurring substance that is produced by our body, in small amounts, and aids our body’s detoxification of environmental toxins, hormones (like estrogen), carcinogens, and metabolic waste generated within the body. While you make a small amount of glucaric acid, you also consume it in your diet. Glucaric acid is found in the highest amount in apples, oranges, and cruciferous vegetables (think broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage).
Calcium D-glucarate is not a calcium supplement!
Calcium D-glucarate contains only 9% calcium. If you think you are low in calcium, this is the wrong product for you. Our range of calcium supplements is found here. Absoprtion of calcium also requires Vitamin D, Vitamin K2, Magnesium, and Boron
Main Benefits
1. Helps lower estrogen
This is especially revelent in estrogen dominant situations and therefore benefits many women. But it is important to note this this may benefit men as well as women (and does NOT harm men). For example it can be useful where men have elevated prolactin, lowered testosterone or prostate concerns, one of the possible causes is elevated estradiol (estrogen).

3. Reduces beta-glucuronidase.
Elevated beta-glucuronidase activity is associated with an increased risk for various conditions associated with unhealthy cell division. Especially associated with maintaining healthy cell division in the breast, prostate and colon.

Preliminary results in humans show D-glucarate reduced total serum cholesterol up to 12 percent, LDL cholesterol up to 28 percent, and triglycerides up to 43 percent.
