Description
Pau d' Arco is an Amazonian herb used as a wide spectrum microbial management product, proteting the body from viruses, bacteria and fungi.
In recent test tube studies it has demonstrated anti microbial properties against a number of bacteria – including H-Pylori (implicated in the formation of stomach ulcers) and MRSA infections. Pau d’Arco has also exhibited strong antioxidant activity in a number of studies and it is also used to treat IBS - and has long been believed to possess a ‘gut protecting’ effect. A study published in 2005 showed that two of the actives from the bark exhibited selective anti bacterial activity against E-Coli and other pathogenic bacteria, but did not effect the growth of Lactobacillus acidophilus or other pro-biotic bacteria.
Ingredients
Purified water (Aqua purificata), Alcohol, Pau d'Arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa) bark.
Suggested Usage
15 drops, 3 times daily in a small amount of water unless otherwise advised by your practitioner. Maximum 100 drops per day.
For children aged 4-15, 3 times daily, give one drop per number of years of age. Shake before use. Not suitable for pregnant or lactating women.
