The amino acid tyrosine is critical in the production of thyroid hormones, and for maintaing a healthy thyroid gland. This formula provides generous amounts of tyrosine, which people with low thyroid may be deficient in. It also contains iodine, selenium, and nine other vitamins and minerals which are involved in the production of thyroid hormones. A deficiency of any of these nutrients can predispose to less than ideal thyroid function.

Product Summary

  • Provides key nutrients for healthy functioning of the thyroid gland
  • Tyrosine, together with iodine and selenium are needed to make thyroid hormones.
  • Tyrosine is also involved in the production of some adrenal and pituitary hormones, and a deficiency will affect both the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands.
  • Low levels of tyrosine have also been associated with low blood pressure and depression
  • Healthy thyroid function is important for virtually all body systems
  • Take alongside Ocean Kelp or Kelp Formula for additional thyroid support (we think that Kelp Formula is the better option).
