Reviews for Vegan HCL (Hydrochloric Acid) 90 caps (200mg per cap)
Have been treating my laryngopharyngeal reflux for several years. After finally ignoring the failed NHS approach, I have spent several months going in the opposite direction and boosting my stomach acid with Betaine HCL. Theory I was following was that bacterial overgrowth may have been neutralising my own stomach acid (which would also have declined naturally with ageing). Since sufficient acid is required to trigger esophageal sealing this seemed a logical explanation for many of my symptoms. Larger dosage capsules have provided a marked improvement but I decided the time had come to taper with a view to seeing if my natural acid production would be sufficient and any bacterial overgrowth had subsided. So far so good thanks to finding that Finchley sell a 200 mg capsule (less than a 3rd of the larger ones I was using and under half the next lowest I found).
One capsule with higher protein meals seems to be having the desired effect and I am very happy with this product.
Had terrible pain after eating and when I looked into it, it appeared that it was probably a lack of stomach acid or such. I thought I'd try these as they seemed to fit and they are very reasonable in price. They worked very quickly and I didn't have any more problems with eating. I've now moved onto taking hydrogen peroxide in water in small amounts, morning and night, and that seems to resolve other issues I've had around certain other things too. Gave the rest of the tablets to a friend who was also suffering with stomach pains after eating and it seems to have helped her too.
